・Working at就職先：「 Toshiba Electronic Device and Storage Corporation」 東芝デバイス＆ストレージ株式会社
1. After graduation from Shizuoka University I have joined in Toshiba Electronic Device and Storage Corporation. This is a company of Toshiba group. This company produces semiconductor devices like programmable ICs, micro-controller chips for IoT devices and cars, HDD etc. I have been working in the System Devices division since November 1, 2018. My responsibility here is to research on image and video processing on camera data acquired from car camera and rider sensors using deep learning and programming.
2. My experience of job hunting: I started Job hunting from March 2017. But before that, I have done research on several companies. After doing the research I have selected some companies to apply which are suitable for me. In march I have attended many job-hunting
seminars both in university campus and outside. I have joined Asian Job fair for foreign students in Tokyo. I started to apply to the companies in April. At first I have filled the pre-entry sheets. And then I have filled the entry sheets of the companies and have taken the web test
in April and May. After passing the screening test I was invited for interviews with some companies. I have attended several Interviews in different companies. I have applied Toshiba using school recommendation system. So after passing the final interview in Toshiba, I choose
to work for Toshiba. Each company have their own recruitment process. But most of the big corporations have a similar recruitment process.
3. My plan after graduation: After graduation, I joined Toshiba in November, 2018. I am planning to work here at least 5 to 7 years or more. I am planning to stay in Japan for 10 years and then I want to go back to my country and start my own company there.
4. Advice to the next students: My first advice to the next students is you must learn the Japanese language up to communication level before starting job hunting. Although there are some companies who allow web test and interviews in English, the number of these
companies is too small. Some companies require N1 or N2 Japanese level and most of the companies require at least communication level Japanese. So before job hunting try to pass N3 or at least learn so that you can communicate in Japanese. You must do research on the company you want to apply before applying. Attend the job hunting seminars as more as you can. Find out your strong side and the weak side. These are the common questions in the interview and also in the entry sheet. Start job hunting as soon as possible, otherwise, there
will be a lot of workload at the time of thesis writing
